Love the podcast. Got first introduced to Ira and his podcast through Reed Mathis a while back (which remains one of my favorite musician interviews ever) and have been enjoying it every since. The Sound Podcast is great asset to our scene!
Ira is very well researched as an interviewer and asks great questions that get his guests thinking and talking in new ways about what they do. Highly recommended!
Really like your style! Such a great break in the day as I put the headphones on and relax! Thanks Ira!
Ira has outstanding guests on the show, a great mixture of artists/bands you know and ones you should get to know for great music discovery. The interviews are honest and give the listeners a really cool dive into the background, perspectives, and endeavors of the various projects each guest is into. Thank you for delivering my go-to weekly music podcast, keep up the great work!!
I love diving deeper into the artists that create the stuff that are a part of my daily soul food. This podcast is such a great mixture of trying to understand all of what has come before and how that influences the creativity and energy of the long timers as well as the burgeoning new artists that I get exposed to here. I love the Live 5 and have recently been streaming the jamband radio that they have on their app. It’s what I always wished Jam-on station would have been!!
I love Ira’s interviews, they are always interesting and the artists are a bunch of talented folks as well. Looking forward to listening to more episodes in the future. 👍 Scott Brown Host of The Music Chat Podcast
If you love progressive/Jam/Americana, you want to listen to learn how how these amazing artists navigate and grow their craft in this age of amazing growth in live music. Ira Haberman absolutely knows this business and asks great questions to big names and intriguing new leaders in this space. Ira is the Terry Gross (FreshAir) of the live rock, jam and roots entertainment scene.
Just started listening to this podcast & I really enjoy the music & the interviews. Very cool insights into the music & the artists who create it.
Ira absolutely blows me away with how many great guests he has on this podcast. Their interactions are always so natural and insightful, too. How many areas in music he touches is really a huge part of why this is such great listening!
I have to say that this is a really great podcast. Ira is able to get a lot of awesome people on it and he asks great questions. It tends to be a good mix of things that fans would want to know as well as the type of nuts and bolts questions that you don't know you want to know about until you know about them. I also love that he keeps the length of each one manageable, typically ~40 minutes. The interviews are just enough so that you want more, but not so long that you need to slog through weaker content to get to the good stuff. Like a '74 Eyes, this is all killer, no filler.
This show has it all. Fun, highly knowledgeable host. Engaging interviews with jam heroes, as well as up-and-comers. Tasty new tracks to open and close each episode. Ira is a passionate music geek that is a credit to the scene. Fire this baby up; a veritable wealth of music discovery awaits.
By far the best pod for the jam scene. Not even close IMHO. Great interviews, well thought out questions. You can tail he cultivates a great rapport with his guests.
My favorite podcast. My favorite podcast interviewer. Thank you Ira for ALWAYS keeping me entertained!
The caliber of talent interviewed weekly is phenomenal! The host is amazing at asking the questions that listeners truly want to hear. A must-listen for new finds and current obsessions!
This is a great podcast! Really enjoy the live tracks that are played to introduce the artists.
I listened to this at work last night and it was superb! Excellent production quality and an amazing guest. That man (David Lemiuex) can talk and every word that comes out is interesting and compelling, pure gold. Can't wait for more!
