Khruangbin is a band that has always fascinated me. Hailing from Houston, Texas the trio up until their most release Mordechai has played instrumental psych rock blended with soul and dub. Their blend of these sonic influences is combined world sounds from Thailand, Middle East and Spain. Bizarre right? Not at all. In fact it all seems to blend quite nicely. On their latest release, Mordechai, aside from the lushness of their sound, they’ve added vocals which creates a whole knew exciting layer for the band and their fans. We caught up with bassist Laura Lee and Drummer DJ Johnson to talk about the bands music, collaborations and other fun stuff.
